Founded in 2017, María Donatello was born from a story of resilience and transformation. After co-founder Norma’s skin cancer diagnosis, a conscious vision emerged: to turn sun protection into an intentional gesture of elegance and purpose.

With roots in Mexico and a global outlook, the brand reinterprets contemporary millinery by uniting design and craftsmanship. Each piece is handcrafted by skilled artisans who honor inherited techniques while integrating a modern and sophisticated aesthetic.

Expanding this philosophy, the brand incorporates limited-edition leather accessory collections, thoughtfully designed and produced in small batches. These exclusive pieces celebrate material quality, traditional leatherwork, and functional design, adding versatility and refinement to the María Donatello universe.

Today, under the creative direction of Andrea Camarena, María Donatello arrives in Amsterdam to create unique pieces tailored for the European market, while staying true to its essence: character, authenticity, and intentional beauty. From her studio, Andrea crafts hats from scratch with her own hands, shaping each piece in a fully personalized and entirely artisanal process, bringing to life unique, made-to-measure creations.
